Welcome And Theme Setting
SPEAKER_00Welcome back to Accentuate Life, Everyday Leadership for Kingdom Living. I'm Dr. Rita and I'm grateful you are here. Today we're talking about something every person will need at some point in their journey, and that is resilience. Resilience is the ability to keep moving forward even when life becomes difficult. It is not pretending things are easy, it is not ignoring hardship. Resilience is the strength to endure while remaining angered in faith. The Bible reminds us in Isaiah 40, 31, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint. That verse is a beautiful reminder that resilience is not something we produce by willpower alone. It is something that grows when we stay connected to God. To accentuate resilience means we intentionally strengthen our ability to recover, rebuild, and continue trusting God even when circumstances challenge us. Every leader experiences moments that test resilience. Plans shift, opportunities close, unexpected obstacles appear. But resilience reminds us that setbacks are not the end of the story. Romans 5.34 tells us that suffering produces perseverance. Perseverance produces character, and character produces hope. In other words, the very experiences we sometimes wish we could avoid are often the experiences that shape our strength. Resiliency allows us to bend without breaking. It teaches us patience, it deepens our faith, and it simply reminds us that growth often happens quietly, beneath the surface, before anyone else sees it. When we accentuate resilience, we choose to focus on God's sustaining power rather than the pressure of the moment. We remember that we're not walking through challenges alone. Because God strengthens us, God restores us, and God equips us to continue the journey. Here's a question to reflect on this week. What challenge in your life might God be using to strengthen your resilience right now? Sometimes what feels like resistance is actually preparation. That's so good. Let me say that one more time. Sometimes what feels like resistance is actually preparation. If you're in a season that feels heavy or uncertain, I want to remind you of this. Resilience grows one step at a time. You do not have to have everything figured out today. Just continue moving forward in faith, trusting that God is strengthening you along the way. Thank you for spending this time with me on Accentuate Life Podcast. Until next time, lead with intention, live with purpose, and let's continue to accentuate the leader within.
